Mail Drops

We’d love to get mail from family and friends, cheering us on. Mail your letters or packages to:

Cathie and Randy Cummins
c/o General Delivery
Town, State, Zip code

Below is our most current mail drop schedule. Before mailing a package, visit this page on our website to make sure you have the most up-to-date schedule.

In the corner and on the sides, write “Hold for PCT Thru-Hikers, ETA May 3rd” (or whatever date from the schedule below).

You will want your mail to arrive just ahead of us. Mail your package two weeks before the pick up date.

Surprise packages are nice, but we’ve got to ask for all our mail. We will know if we have sent something ahead to ourselves or are expecting a package from Heather. If those are found first, we will appear happy, and walk away without the clerk looking for anything else. It’s very sad when someone makes the effort to send goodies, and gets the box back, all moldy now, six weeks later. Letters get stored in a bundle at the post office, so there is no need to warn us in advance.

Letters can be sent first class mail. Please send packages Priority Mail through the US Post Office, and let Heather know you are sending a package. You can reach her at pctgreetings@hotmail.com.

What should you put in a box? Freeze dried pineapple and strawberries from Trader Joe’s, cookies, notes from you, cookies, newspaper clippings, and cookies are all things we like! Care packages don’t need to be big. Please don’t send anything we’d have to carry.
